Barita Deli and Coffee Shop.In the attractive small town of Llandeilo you will find one of the best delis in South Wales This is owned and run by Rita Morgan and Nigel Williams, and it stocks the finest fare, not only from Wales, but from all over Britain and Europe. This is the place to stock up on all those savoury and sweet delicacies we love so much. Welsh ham from Carmarthenshire - the best sea salt (Halen Mor) - honey from Talley - and Llanfaes dairy ice cream, made by a Welsh family in the Brecon Beacons National Park from an old Italian recipe. There is also plaits of French garlic (white, pink and smoked), as well as herbs from Provence, succulent German sausages, Italian salami, Belgian chocolates and marzipan, superb Italian Illy coffee, and a whole lot more. Enjoy much of the produce, including the superb home-baked organic bread, in the coffee shop. Let it accompany a bowl of tasty soup or super sandwiches. You can take away many of the items on the menu, including quiches and savoury pies with fillings such as laver bread and leak or brie. The cappucino, espresso, lattes and hot chocolate are superb quality and their cakes are superb - our favourite is the coffee and walnut. |
