Llandovery is a handsome small market town with Roman origins. Drive through medieval Stone Street to the historic town centre and park beside the romantic stone ruins of the 12th century castle.  Stop off at one of our excellent restaurants, local bakeries or the great new coffee shop with newspapers, comfortable sofas and aromatic freshly ground coffees.  Originally a Roman town, Llandovery still has a Farmers Market where the local farmers gather and an eclectic auction.  Among the shops try the terrific local butcher, green grocer & delicatessen, bakery and bookshop.

Llandeilo is a small thriving town perched proudly on the hillside just above the magnificent stone bridge that crosses the River Towy.  Llandeilo's bridge is the finest example of a single-arch stone bridge in the whole of Wales.  This historic small mediaeval town is one of the prettiest in Wales.  It has a rich history, initially a Roman settlement. For a while it was a Royal capital, with its castle at Dinefwr being the administrative and military center of a once powerful kingdom.  These days visitors love to stroll around a myriad of exquisite small individual shops, galleries and boutiques or take a welcome break at one of the excellent coffee shops, tea rooms or restaurants.
